KRILLION

How to play Krillion-style trivia

To play a Krillion-style game, read an open-ended prompt, type one answer that fits, and try to find something less obvious. This guide covers the controls and rules of Krillion on krillion.games. For the original game, go to Krillion.io.

1. Choose your dive

The daily game gives you seven shared prompts and finishes after all seven, regardless of misses. Choose Begin the Dive on the homepage. If you already started, the button lets you resume; if you finished, it opens your result.

For a longer session, open Krillion Unlimited. Each challenge draws 50 prompts and gives you three lives. There is no daily limit on starting another challenge. A fresh run replaces an unfinished challenge save, while your daily game remains separate.

2. Read before the timer begins

A two-second preview gives you a moment to read the category. Look for restrictions: a location, a period, a starting letter or a particular kind of object can change which answers fit. Once the preview ends, the answer field appears and your 25-second timer starts.

The prompt is asking for one answer, not a list. Enter the name you mean rather than several possibilities separated by commas. A short, unambiguous response is easier for the bank to recognize than a sentence explaining your reasoning.

3. Type an answer and submit it

Press Enter or the Submit button. An accepted answer ends that round and reveals the answer’s rarity tier, points and feedback. In the daily game, each point takes you ten meters deeper. In the longer challenge, each point represents two meters.

If your answer is not recognized, the input shakes and you can try again. A rejection alone does not consume a challenge life. The timer continues, so replace the answer promptly. Our bank supports many common spellings and aliases, but it cannot recognize every valid name or variation.

4. Understand passes and timeouts

Pass ends the current round with zero points. When time expires, the game submits whatever is currently in the field. A recognized answer still scores; an empty or unrecognized one scores zero. In a challenge, any completed zero-score round costs one life. Your third zero ends the run.

Opening the menu, returning to the surface or refreshing does not pause an active question. The game stores the original deadline. You can take a break on the result between questions, before pressing Dive On to begin the next preview.

5. Review and share your result

The dive log shows your score, depth, rarity chart and individual answers. Expand the answer section to compare what you entered with the recorded result. The full answer sheet covers only prompts you attempted; it is available for review after the run.

Copy Result produces a report with rarity symbols rather than answer spoilers. Save Score Card downloads an image. If your browser supports native sharing, Share opens its share interface. Challenge invitations include the same random draw and question-bank version so a friend can attempt the same prompts.

Settings and saved progress

The menu includes sound, high contrast, larger game text and invitation-link settings. Your choices and progress are stored in the current browser. Switching devices or clearing site data does not carry that progress over. Read how local saves work if you want to remove them.

Once the controls feel familiar, learn the rarity tiers and practice the strategy for choosing a rarer answer.
